Little Frog Polly

Once upon a time there was a little frog named Polly. And everybody loved the little frog because she was so merry, and she hopped around trying to find a hiding place in the sun, but very cheerily. She didn't want to make anyone sad, because they all loved her and everyone would be so sad if little Polly were sad. Once she had babies. And she was very happy. She took care of them. But a cat wanted to eat those little babies. He tried to but he couldn't. He tried to find eggs, but he couldn't. And when the babies hatched, they were just like their good mother Polly. They grew up just like her, only some were boys, of course.
