Allosaurus

Allosaurus is a meat-eating dinosaur. I saw two different pictures of him. In one, he was brown, with stripes of light white. In the other picture, he was grey with black stripes, and he had two little hornish things that were red. But both of them were the same dinosaur: Allosaurus. There are other dinosaurs I think I might post about. But I think that might be all for today. End of Allosaurus.

Semipalmated Plovers

When I was at the beach I saw a Semipalmated Plover. It was very pretty. There is a picture of it under the post. It has a white stripe around its neck. It has a white breast, a brown head, a brown back, and yellow feet. It has a black beak, and I like it. They are very pretty. They have a very short little neck. In fact, I don't even think that you could really say that it has a neck at all, because it is so short, not at all like a Sandpiper's neck. Sandpipers' necks are quite long. But these birds have very short little necks. I saw one at the beach, and I saw a Sandpiper by it. They were quite different from each other. Then it flew away. I was quite sad. I love Semipalmated Plovers.

The Fiddler Crab

I was looking around on the sand. All of a sudden, I saw a little crab, or he wasn't so little. He was as long as the finger by my middle finger that is also by my thumb. He was yellow. One pincher was bigger than the other pincher. His eyes had little slits in his shell that they could go down in, or they could be on stalks, like normal crabs. I liked him a lot. It had been a long time since I had seen a crab. I love fiddler crabs.

Centipedes

There are lots of centipedes on our porch. When I see them, I catch them and I take them out, because of course we don't want centipedes on our porch. They are quite tickly on your hand because of their many little legs. Yesterday, I caught eight. Then I put them outside. Today I saw one in mama's bathroom, and I took it outside too. I like centipedes a lot. But they are kind of creepy.

Anoles

Before I was hunting for the little brown anole, I saw two larger ones. They were light green. They were behind something, and I wanted to get them out from behind it. I took a long piece of grass and I poked it through, and they ran out the other side. But they ran too fast for me. One of them escaped into a bush, and one of them escaped into the same hiding place that the little brown anole used. I liked them both. But I was not so happy that I didn't catch any lizards that day. In fact, the only lizard that I have caught in Florida was a little one at the library. I had tried to catch many others, but I had failed at all of them. And that is the end of the post of the two anoles.

The Little Brown Anole

When I was hunting for lizards, I saw a little brown anole. I tried to catch him. I got really close. But he ran away before I could catch him. I did not like that I did not get to catch him. But I didn't get hurt, or anything like that. He was a very pretty little lizard. He had a lightish streak of brownish whitish down his back, with zig-zag on the side. The rest of him was normal brown. He had a pretty little dewlap. I liked him a lot.

Small Frogs

At the nature preserve there is a little pond. In the pond there live lots of little frogs. Some are black and some are black with yellow stripes on their backs, and some are black with red stripes on their backs. Once I saw a black frog with a green stripe on its back, but that was the only one I saw with a green stripe. Also, once I saw a frog that was entirely green and yellow. I tried to catch him to show my brother, but he got away. I can catch them. Sometimes they get away, and sometimes I catch them. But I always let them go when I go home.

Scrub Jays

My mom and I and my brother and my dad were out at the nature preserve. And two scrub jays were flying around. One of them landed on my mom's head. And the other one landed on my dad's head. I took a picture of them, and it was so funny. And then they both flew away.
